Salazar`s Burgers Y Mas in Weslaco

Today, 3/14/19, I waited almost 30 minutes for my meal. I ordered sweet tea and got bitter, unsweetened tea. I politely took the drink to the front desk and I formed the staff that I had waited almost 30 minutes and that the tea was bitter, consequently, I was going to leave. The staff simply said "okay". I called the restaurant after I left to talk to the manager and I was reluctantly told it was " Leo". When asked for the name of the owners, the staff declined the info and proceeded to hang up at me. Go at your own discretion.

Excellent food always enjoy their Enchiladas.

Looks a bit like an old dive joint but don't let the looks deceive you,,,GREAT little place and if you like Elvis Presley you will LOVE this place. We were there for 45 minutes and that is the only music they played! But Better yet just a GREAT burger and home made hand cut fresh french fries all cooked fresh. They had other food on their menu and we will be going back to have them as well.

They have real good hamburgers and when I'm in the mood for chicken fried steak this is where I come. If you like rock n roll music that's what they play while you eat. It's diner style and very enjoyable.

Best burgers in town, but waiters need to be on the lookout for new customers walking in.

I had Mark's Special today. It had 2 cheese enchiladas, carne guisada, rice and beans. It also included 2 tortillas and an iced tea. Talk about comfort food! Yummy. My hubby had a daily lunch special: the hamburger steak, mash, corn, salad and toast. This special also included the iced tea.

This place was really good. We ordered enchiladas, chicken fried steak and kids chicken strips.

Overrated and overpriced. Burgers are lacking flavor. $45 for 2 kids burgers 1 regular burger meal and a burger steak meal is ridiculously over priced.

Soggy fries, overpriced food ($10 for a burger, fries, and drink), too much avocado on my burger making it mushy, unseasoned burger patty, and poor quality buns. Could've had a better and cheaper burger from Wendy's honestly. I thought that a place named after their burgers would have good burgers.

This spot is so bomb, they've been open for 40+ years. I always come for their Homemade Burgers and Fries, but always forget how delicious their Mexican Food is. You owe it to yourself to visit this spot.

My favorite burger, Mexican food, chicken fried steak/chicken restaurant in Weslaco. Shakes are outstanding. It's a must try. Old time diner atmosphere.

Nice old fashioned diner. Vintage Elvis Presley playing in background . Food was hot and good and pretty fast considering crowd. Always good. Daily lunch specials, miss Danny great waitress.

The burgers are pretty good. They give my favorite burger joint some competition. I have tried the mexican food and it is well served and delicious as well.. Nice vibe from the staff.

Stuck in 1957. Elvis songs played continuously. Mainly a burger joint but some good Mexican on the menu too. Friendly and helpful staff. Definitely worth a checkout. Jalapeno's some of the best in the RGV.

Hadn't been here in a while but my husband and i wanted to go somewhere that felt like real home cooked and hand made food. Forgot how great it was here. Must go back soon!

Excellent home made burgers

Went today & did a take-out order. The burgers were amazing, my new favorite burger place! Got the SouthTexasBurger, great quality, & friendly staff. It's kinda far from where I live, but definitely worth the trip for some great burgers. Hope to see this business continue to serve great food & grow.

Best burgers by far in Weslaco at a great price. If you love to hear oldies music while eating a great burger. You have to have a burger here.

2nd strike! 1st time I visited they forgot the bottom bun of my burger. Fries were great. When I sent it back it came with the bottom bun but the fries were burnt. This time they forgot avocado, they charged me bit didnt put it on the burger. And the meat was not tasty at all. Sorry, but they get one more chance and then I'll well we'll see...
